Policy

“The aim of internationalisation at HAS Den Bosch University of Applied Sciences is to prepare future professionals in the agricultural sectors for the international working environment in both the Netherlands and abroad, where they will start working upon completion of their studies”.

This is done by HAS Den Bosch by offering opportunities for staff members and students at HAS Den Bosch to orient themselves internationally.

Points of departure are that HAS Den Bosch:

·         operates locally, Euregionally and internationally

·         has an international profile, but is no international university of applied sciences

·         sees the direction the professional field is taking as determining the direction education takes

Spearheads

Internationalisation is interwoven with education. During lessons students learn as much as possible about the national and international context of the professional field. The confrontation with an international working environment takes place in the third study-year, when all students do an obligatory traineeship abroad. Almost all study programmes have also incorporated an international study trip into their curricula and, on a regular basis, (international) guest lecturers come and share their knowledge and experiences with students.
