Dutch-taught
The Netherlands is a small country, covering no more than 0.008% of the world's surface - but when it comes to ornamental plant cultivation and the production of agricultural products, the Netherlands has built a world-wide reputation of excellence.
In this course you learn about ornamental plant cultivation (flowers, bulbs, trees), production of food products (vegetables and fruit) or arable farming.
But there is more: you also get to know your way around in logistics, marketing, production, technology, economics and quality care.
This course takes four years. During the first two years you attend to the basis: a combination of theory and practical work, cases and projects, if possible coloured according to your preference of cultivation. Moreover, you become familiar with the 2-hectare school garden, glasshouses for practicals, the technology hall, the soil-lab and the biology-lab. After the second year you choose your main subject: Cultivation management, Agro technology, International business management or Research and innovation and plan your third-year work placements. In the fourth year you specialise further and finally round off your studies with a final project.
