The City of Den Bosch

In & Around

The city of 's-Hertogenbosch (Den Bosch for short) is one of the oldest and most beautiful cities in the Netherlands. Den Bosch is the capital city of the region North-Brabant and currently counts around 140.000 inhabitants. It is located in the South of the Netherlands, about 80 km from Amsterdam and 90 km from the border to Germany and Belgium.

Den Bosch is famous for its pleasant and lively atmosphere. It offers something for everyone: museums and culture, shopping, nature and cuisine.

One of the city's highlights for the average tourist is the early 13th century gothic cathedral of Saint John's (see the picture below). However, students in Den Bosch usually prefer to pay a visit to the countless bars, pubs and restaurants all over the city.
